I stopped by a machine shop today just to see what they thought and got a quote. I told him about .030 like you all have said, and he quoted me about $250 to mill them, clean them, do a valve job, and put on my new springs. I feel like this is a pretty good price, and he's a pretty trustworthy guy locally.

So the final setup goes: Lq4 with 224r .600"/.600" 114 LSA with valve Spring package, Rollmaster Single Row x1, Melling High Pressure oil pump, and an ARP Cam Bolt Gasket kit, along with ARP head studs, 2 Head Gaskets, and LS7 Lifters, the Heads milled .030", and a good cleaning and valve job. Anyone see any issues or have any other recommendations with that?

May as well get the new lifter trays while you are at it. If you aren't planning on boost or to pull the heads a bunch could probably save money and go with the head bolts instead of the studs.

I actually meant to say the trays too they come with the lifter set. I'd also only be saving $50 by using factory gm bolts too so I may as well just get the ARP's just for security too.

I didn't mention I do have a CAI, Longtubes, and a pretty good 93 octane tune right now so really I'd definitely expect more than 350 these motors almost make that stock lol. I guess a better question would be how much increase from stock in hp/tq

You have verified what you make currently on the dyno or at a track? Factory spec engines are pretty weak, actually.

Technically I haven't verified that for sure at a dump or track. There's only one dyno locally and he's a little ridiculous on his price. But I've used many different programs on my computer and phone and while I understand they are off I didn't figure they be off by more than 30-50 either way. HP Tuners VCM Scanner shows me 384 ft/lbs at 4800 which that's engine specs anyways so I'm not sure how much I lose throughout the drivetrain. I do know at the track it's about a mid to high 13 depending on takeoff.
