Started it tonight! Have everything out but the cam. We'll take it out tomorrow. The heads will be at Abbott's shop in the mornin. Have to wait about 2 weeks for them to be done. I'll post up after everything is installed and tuned to let ya'll know what the outcome is! It's gonna be fun!!! Also gonna install some 42#ers, Detroit Tru-trac, double roller timing chain, hardened push rods, bigger valves in the heads, 918's, and ARP head bolts.

Heads will be fully ported and polished by hand, bigger valves, 5 angle valve job, and some other **** that Abbott told me that I didn't really undterstand! I just said ok! All I know is, it's pretty much everything you can do to a set of heads. He will flow match them after he gets done with them, and I'll post up the numbers.
Edit: I am not getting them milled, because I do not want to bump up the compression because of future plans.

I can't wait to see it run. Are you going to keep it NA for now or are you also hooking up the nitrous. I'll have a little competition for you once the 402 is installed and tuned.

The bottle will be on the first time it goes to the track. Hopefully I will be starting the new engine build pretty soon. I think we are gonna make it a 418 or bigger. I think the little 5.7 with the button is gonna surprise ya! If it does what we think it's gonna do, it's goin to surprise ALOT of people around our area!

Well the heads are done. Flowed 297 @ .550. Abbott said they flowed the same as the LS-6 heads he just did, up until .550. That's where the bigger ports of the LS-6 came into play! The LS-6's flowed 314 @ .600. Did some research and so far, out of every 241 casting head that someone has done, with the same valves, it has flowed anywhere from 5 to 20 more CFM!! Abbott said it's gonna be a Hoss! We were gonna start putting it back together this weekend, but still don't have all the gaskets in yet. So now I have to wait till I get back from Vegas, a week and a half from now, to start workin on it. I'm wanting to take it to Houston or San Antonio to a dyno. So that way when it's tuned, it will be in good air. I was also curious to see if any of you know some flow numbers of any 241's that have been ported and polished, with 2.02 valves. Can't wait till she is together! Gonna be fun!
