Default Heads/Cam driving impressions after three days

Well, Three days of driving around with this new setup and I'm pretty impressed !!

The computer is starting to figure out this new setup a little I think....the idle quality is alot better than the first night, the hot start issues are pretty much gone and the mid-range/part-throttle power is UNBELIEVABLE !!!

Tuning is a MUST.....at least it is if I want to pull the max out of this cam, I COULD drive it forever like it is but I really think tuning is gonna improve it dramatically

Part-throttle power is WILD !!!...I've never felt a cam that would pull this good at part-throttle, I've also noticed it takes ALOT LESS pedal to do the same work as before

I still think I'm leaning out in the upper-rpms....it's got a hesitation above 4800 or so that I'm pretty sure is due to a lack of fuel (it surges a little and is less rev-happy than it is below that rpm)

All I did was polish the chambers....and I did that work myself

I REALLy think the smaller intake ports of the LS1 heads are contributing to the extra torque that I'm feeling at low-rpm's

Exactly what I've been trying to convey!

I've got some very interesting torque numbers from HPTuners 'delivered torque' parameter. The numbers are 385 at 2,100rpm... peaking 435 between 3,500-4,500... 400 at 5,200, and 350 at 6,000.

Leaving the actual numbers out of things, that's a WHOLE LOT of the max torque available, way down low...

Mine lopes pretty good right now.....but the idle is a little too low so that's contributing to the lope alot I think

I've got a little bit of a stalling issue too....but only when hot so I think it's got alot to do with the idle speed, I think that raising the idle about 75-100 rpm will cure my problems completely...I idle at 550 right now, 625-650 should fix all of my idle and hot-start issues
