Trick Flow are awesome heads, the downside is expense and the fact you are supposed to use roller rockers. Patriot heads don't flow as well as some of the other competitors. PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads are good budget priced heads.

Yep, the Trick Flow is a grand each or $2000 total. Like Terravast said, the PRC is probably the best bang for the buck. Stock 5.3 heads are 61cc chambers, going with 59cc heads would give you about a 1/4 point higher compression ratio, which would be nice if you stay N/A. But, if you go FI, you might want to go the other way and get 63cc heads.

SDPC has some well priced heads as well with good flow numbers. does anyone know anything about worlds heads? they have decent flow numbers and the make great heads for older engines but i haven't found anything on their ls heads

Talk to the guys at WCCH. I'm sure they can point you in the right direction and recommend a head to fit your needs.
