One thing that really made a positive impact was the "we will build today ship tomorrow" statement. That definetly makes an impact ...........in a good way

I have a problem with my Stainless Works headers.....I don't have any! Can they put me in front of the 4 week waiting list? J/K

Glad to see they chimed in and made it right. That's pretty cool that they're going to do a call tag too. Most manufacturers I deal with, just make you pay the shipping both ways, for thier mistake. Right on. Time to grenade another rear-end right?

The "Call Tag" is definetly the right way to do business, it's unfortunate when many Companies don't utilize that resource.

lol, I will give it hell, as always, I'm thinking that Detroit Locker SHOULD hold up just fine

i have a couple things i'd like to input. at the price you pay for their headers and the wait you had to go through this kind of thing isn't acceptable. if they just pulled the incorrect one's off the shelf then s**t happens. i'm also amazed that you were on a 4 week waiting list yet they can build you replacements in a day? i understand that's just taking care of the customer that you screwed the order up on, but if they can do that now then why is there such a waiting list. 4 weeks for uncoated headers just baffles me. if i have a problem with a part i often talk it over with the company, but there is certainly nothing wrong with showing everyone. maybe they'll consider it next time before shipping you that way.

i am on the other hand happy to see a quicker resolve and it's nice to see there wasn't much fuss from them.

are you going to run it on the wideband with the headers grippy?

Thanks zippy

The plan for the headers is upon reciept to have the O2/Wideband & EGT bungs installed, not sure where yet, then I'll take them to Olympic Coatings (local to me/like 5min away) and have them coated. Next would be installing them with the appropriate size exhaust system. I guess that was the long version of yes

Zippy

The reason the headers were built incorrectly is that one of our employees did not see on the work order that the collectors were supposed to be 3". I explainied this before and took total ownership of it. Sorry if the answer is not what you want, but it is what it is. Trust me, I am not happy about having a customer that is unhappy or paying triple shipping, especially to California!!! My employee will be beaten and thrashed with a bamboo cane after work. Seriously, people make mistakes, although we try to minimize them. I am trying to fix it as quickly and painlessly as possible for all involved.

The wait was due to us being out of tubes and having to bend them, then schedule them through production. We have headers with a 2 1/2" collector in stock (and one more set after we get moregrips returned). Now that we have modified the fixture so that we can make a header with 3" collectors, this will be less painful the next time around. We always run a 3-4 week backlog of work, which makes some people unhappy, but we are busy because we do produce a quality product and even though we keep adding people, it is hard to stay ahead.

Thanks and MoreGrip, your headers will definately go out tomorrow. It was good talking to you today.
