???? NO ! what i mean is if your not to worried about emission control , and all that other bs , then buy some long tubes , shorties are not worth the money and you wont feel any diffrence ! i originaly slapped some jba shorties and did not feel a diffrence then i did some long tubes and re-piped my truck and dropped 3tenths in the 1/8th with out a tune !

If your looking for more low end torque on a mildly modified 5.3 .you should consider Doug Thorley Tri Y headers ........ fit excellent on 2010 and are ceramic coated .do a search

Technically yes .as you cant license a vehicle that has emisions equip removed ( cats) ....... but testing is not widespread

Well we have to be worried about emissions, I cannot get away from the cats. I just put a Borla exhaust on last year and now wanted to put on headers. I thought putting on shorties would give me something at least but doesn't sound like it since they did squat for you.

You can get pacesetters with a catted Y-pipe, they're not stainless steel though.

Ya basically, I would need headers c/e catted y pipe that will bolt up to my Borla exhaust since I don't want to waste the $1k I spent on the exhaust by having modify it.

Youll wanna get long tube headers for the performance and in doing so you need a y-pipe to go with them because they will not bolt right up to your stock application. They will bolt up to your exhaust after the y-pipe without mods usually. Most long tubes have packages to buy the y-pipe with them. Now youll have to decide catted or non catted y pipe depending on your emissions for you area.
