Header wrap?
#2
Most of what I've heard has been negative...besides being a PITA to install, it also allows moisture and junk to get trapped between it and the headers, promoting more corrosion. Plus, it may cause clearance issues as it's fairly thick. If you're concerned about the wires, I'd suggest some of the spark plug wire sleeves (there was a recent thread about em I believe), and/or a set of MSD or comparable wires. I ran both the stock wires and MSD's with my Gibson shorties, and the MSD's with my current StainlessWorks LT's with no issues.

i have wrapped headers before and if the plug actually touches the header it will still melt the wire a bit, just not as bad it can. i can show you a picture if you like, never affected the truck because it never burnt the whole plug boot. this was on another chevy truck i had.
and yes it sucks to wrap piping. fibers everywhere itchin and long peices of wrap pulling through.
