I just installed a set of obx long tubes about a month ago. I wasted my money first by buying gibson shorties, and now I can't sell the shorties for **** haha. I love my long tubes they make a big difference.

i ordered the bassani's today, great customer service btw. they guy told me that they only keep bare headers in stock so they would take a week to get coated and sent out, which was kind of a bummer, but then i got a call about an hour later and they said that they found a coated set in the back and they would be shipped out today, and i should get them by friday! also i asked if they had dyno tests and he said when they dyno'd them on a stock 5.3 they made +18 hp and 22 ft. lbs. without tuning, i thought that was pretty good. thats pretty close to what are you guys seeing with a set of lt's isnt it? anyway im pretty stoked about getting them put on. also where can i get a set of those nice lookin header studs? or should i just re-use the stock bolts with lots of anti seize?

Didn't see this post til now. Check out my post on my Bassani install. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=439103 You can also look on gmfullsize.com, I believe Desert1500 has some pics of them installed on a 5.3l. It looked to be a true "bolt-in" install.
I am happy with them, keep in mind I have never even owned a set of headers before so I have nothing to base my gains off of. I will say that my seat-of-the-pants dyno says that it is faster, heck even the girlfriend says it feels faster and she has no reason to care one way or another.
I don't have any Cali smog reasons for installing them, I just didn't want to have a bunch of custom piping bent up for long tubes. Overall I am very pleased with them, I am kind of disappointed that they are discontinuing them because it seems like there is still a small market for them epically for people trying to meet smog requirements.
