The theory behind the y tube sounds relatively reasonable. The y creates a suction. Pulls more out. Therefor, a motor that creates alot of overlap will benefit from the suction.

What motor is this and what cam are you using?
--in sig.? or are you gonna change to the tr224?

5.3 and Im changing over to a TR220 in march. I figured the 6.0 headers would work on my truck. I think the 6.0 headers have the 3" collectors.

yeah i am with every body else on the ASM i have seen only a couple of very tiny speckles on the coating after 3 years of truck use on my friends truck and he is putting out some major HP as far as price i cannot argue with that but TOG are kinda expensive as well the thorleys are good though and the only reason i did not go with ASM was because of $

You can use a 1/4 plug to block off the AIR fitting, just tap it with a tap. That what Dynatech did with mine, it came from the factory that way

Are the TOG AIR fittings threaded?? Plus. Im buying some TOG headers with the 3" collectors. Would adapting those headers to my stock y-pipe be a bad idea? I found some 3" to 2.5" adapters on Dr. Gas website. Bad thing is, theres not enough room between the TOG flange and the cat for the adapter. So the cats have to go. Is that really gonna kill off my low end due to the fact that the collectors are so big and I have no cats?? Or should I just stick the the smaller collector size of the Thorleys?
