Default Header info?

I did a search on headers and read a few threads and have come to the conclusion that long tubes basically perform better than shorties. Has anyone done any dyno work to prove this? Someone posted that they saw 12 hp at the rear wheels after they installed some JBA Cat4ward headers. That is pretty impressive for shorties. Anyone with similar experiences?

Stock manifolds flow great - shorties won't give you squat over stock. The consensus is, if you're going headers, go long throw or don't bother.

I have a 97 model, but I had hedman shorties and now I have Thorley tri-y longtubes.I had it put on the dyno at MTI and it gained 15rwhp and 12rwtq with the Thorleys than the with the hedman shorties. It had a much flatter graph through out the entire rpm band.

i put on long tubes and no cats and they have considerable power over shorties.
