I have the TSP 1 3/4 on my 02 Z71 and they fit with zero issues. I had to run the Pacesetter y pipe to fit my 4wd truck but they slid in just fine. The only modification that is needed is that the passenger side o2 bung needs to be welded in a different spot. Mine was so close to the floor I couldn't install the sensor. Not a big deal though.

I'd suggest not running pacesetter headers though. Anything not stainless will rust no matter if its coated or not. I wouldn't want to spend 300 on a set of headers I will need to replace every 4-5 years.

i agree but also disagree. personally, i would rather spend 300 every 4-5 years and know that i would have a fresh set of headers than spend 1000+ on some top of the line ones that will supposedly last for 10 years or so, yet will still run into the same rust problems eventually. just my opinion though. plus i think it also depends on how well something is kept and maintained i take great care of my vehicles, my truck has over 160k on it and only thing ive replaced is a wheel hub assembly (bad bearing)

My friend has the Pacesetter LT's with Y pipe on his EC 2003, they're awesome! He put them on about 20k miles ago and they're still doing great! He now has 125k miles. We had to use a TON of Pb blaster. I'd say get those, I'm ordering mine soon

Being that you live in Kansas City (so do I actually), the truck will see salt in the winter and no matter how clean you keep it, that salt WILL tear the crap out of the coating. A friend of mine had coated pacesetters on his Camaro and after 1 year the coating was completely gone off the collectors and had made 2 years before they rusted through.

My TSP setup was not much more expensive than the pacesetters will be to be honest. I am worried about the pacesetter y pipe in the long run but its advertised as aluminized like the stock GM piping is. I won't be worrying about the headers themselves though.

I've also got uncoated pacesetters on my 05 cc Chevy.
They fit great and have had no problems with over 40k miles on them

ya i hate the salt here. i wasn't ******* on u if thats how u took it. i assumed by a "good" set of headers u meant an expensive brand like Borla as you have in your signature. i actually will need to remove mine to remove 2 broken header bolts so while i have them off ill sand, prime and paint them to match my truck. speaking of kc, where abouts do u live? im right off of 635 and shawnee dr near craigsix.

Lol actually when I responded I thought you were the original poster..no hard feelings at all really. I just don't wanna see someone go through more money and work than they need to. I've gotta pull my passenger side off to get the rear most bolt out too. It leaks something terrible. Plus I need to drill and weld an o2 bung on that header.

I live off of 291 in lees summit btw
