Has anyone hit 500rwhp naturally? Or even 600 rwhp naturally?

Just nosy I just dont understand, with the perfect head and cam package in a LS1 you can hit 500 rwhp, but why arent the guys running 408's and 418's strokers only hitting 500rwhp. I wanna see someone hit 600rwhp naturally, its gonna take a expensive ported AFR heads and a massive cam but can it be done?

Gomer on LS1tech got 470rwhp out of a stock bottom end 346(LS1). Obtaining 600rwhp out of a 408 or larger is definately doable on pump gas.

well the deal with stroker motors is they are a cheaper way of increasing hp and torque potential than going FI or for titanium or fully forged internals. Only problem is you get more limitations as you get up there, because the stroke is longer and you're still usually moving stockish pistons, not titanium or forged.

So while you can get to 500hp n/a on a stroker cheaper than say, forged internals and FI but on stock displacement, internally the engine is pretty much the same strength as stock.

Now a fully forged stroker would be something.

Most stroker motors come with forged internals and you can buy a shortblock for around 3900-5800 cash, the higher priced one is for FI setups becasue of the use of a big shot of nitrous or lots of boost (different types of rings in the pistons. But for 3900 you can buy a 402 with eagle forged rods and a crank with some type of forged pistons (price usually varies upon brand you pick) usually weisco Mahle or SRP.

The problem with comparing dyno numbers between trucks and cars, is the difference in drivetrains. My dynos look low when you look at them but, the weight I am tryin to spin is alot more. The driveshaft, rear diff, wheels, alxes, etc. Hell even the rear rotors are bigger and heavier than the F and Y body cars. All of this weight steals power.
Also most dynos are done with two different tunes. One for motor and one for N20. My dyno was the same tune and a stock intake.
