if you put cats on the smell will go away. What other broblems are you having that arent fixeable. The last bolt on the driver side is reachable. You may be able to get it from the bottom with an open und wrench. or just get one of those ratcheting wrenches and you would be able to get it form the bottom. I was able to.

I wasn't online yesterday evening, looks like I missed alot...glad you got it running. Sorry the header is banging the frame, maybe you could loosen the motor mount bolts and shift the engine, or try tweaking the primary? As for the smell, how about some tuning for no cats, maybe that will help? Get that last bolt in so there's no extra O2 entering the system and throwing off the O2 sensors.

If you're definitely going to PaceSetters and high flow cats, everything I said above is mute though lol

Just got back inside, I put everything back to stock. Except I don't have the last bolt in on the driver's side. Could this be causing a good amount of whitish smoke in the engine bay? I thought it was just oil or grease from my hands burning off but the smoking doesn't stop. Reason I don't have a back bolt is because the hole is FUBAR'd. There is a bolt broken off deep in that hole from when we did the 6.0 swap and now when I try and screw in a bolt it goes in crooked. Looks like that hole is f'd. Anyways, the reason I took it all out is because I don't have the tools to shift the engine or bend the primaries. I've gotta think about what I can do either with these headers or sell them and get some pacesetters. All I know is that for the 5-10 minutes I drove around with the headers on, damn. It felt awesome, like the truck was revving faster, better throttle response, and better low end.

When it's properly tuned the smell goes down significantly. I promise. It's no worse than a lawnmower.

My biggest complaint is the hump on the driver's side. It makes everything so much more complicated (getting spark plugs in, spark plug wire, header bolts, plus I had to deal with a burning plug wire).

Put some fiberglass socks on the back 2 and then zip tie them out of the way. I haven't burned a single one yet.

The zip tie worked for the very back wire, but I tried every conceiveable way to zip tie the 2nd to last out of the way and couldn't get it off the primary. Plus, I wanted a long term solution. Zip ties are tacky.
