hard start?

Default hard start?

hey guys ive had a problem with the truck ever since i put the nnew motor and cam ,trans Ect. it starts fine when cold but once it warms up and sits for a sec it cranks real hard and slow like a dead battery. its a new battery,alt charging fine. any advice?

possibly the fuel pressure regulator, the brass looking thing on the fuel rail. Pull off the hose while the engine is running, if fuel comes out the regulator replace the whole regulator and that should fix the problem.

u think so that seem too easy. it only does it when its hot never cold

it would take 5 minutes to see if thats the problem, it very well can be!

just went out and checked no fuel comming out its almost like the timming is to far advanced but i have no why to check that

have you tried jumping it off when warm?
Does it start right up?

could be several things.....FPR is one as stated above, the other could be a bad engine ground from when you did the engine swap. I would not rule out the FPR yet, do some more checking and report back.

BTW best way to check the FPR is with a pressure gauge. No less than 58 psi at the rail with the KOEO.
