Default H2 Radix tire smoke...

I was on my way home from dropping a friend off at the ferry (not Fairy...) this morning at about 4 am and decided it was time to test the new 3.0 pulley I put on yesterday. From a stop I finally get some slip... maybe 12 inches or so... and then it takes off. I was starting to think it would never do it

Between the e-fan install, the 3.0 pulley (remember stock is a 3.1 for this application), and a few degrees of timing added in down low it can do it... at least if I am alone so no one can actually witness it

So... the stock 3.1 pulley was good for the following- making 5 psi as soon as I stomped it and 6 - 6.5 psi across the RPM band with 7 psi from about 5400-5800 RPM's.

The new 3.0 pulley is making about 6 psi as soon as I stomp the pedal and 6.75 - 7 psi most of the way through the rpm band with 8 psi from about 5500-5800.

Only mods to the truck are Radix, Nelson 3.0 pulley, 2005 E-fans with Nelson harness, Magnaflow catback, and HP Tuners Programming. Still got a paper filter in a stock airbox with 3 holes cut in the bottom.

I expected a little more average boost out of the 3.0 pulley but there are several additional pulleys available to try.

I need to log a launch to see if traction control is engaging on me now. It might hurt performance if it is.

Anyway, I'm on the path

Mines got some different TC stuff going on than most trucks. I've got to look into it more. It has a mode that allows some slip. I don't have a button to turn it off 100% as others might.

I still have to log it and see if it is taking timing out. I know that it never slipped or took away timing with the 3.1 pulley. I definitely need to log it now. If it isn't taking away timing I'm still good to go for a little while.

Can you turn it off through DIC?

The H2 has full time TC. There is no way to turn it off with a button. There is a TC2 mode (another TC mode) that allows limited wheel slip for slippery situations (loose dirt, gravel, mud), but this one can only be enabled in 4 Hi Lock, 4 Lo Lock, or 4 Lo Lock with Rear Axle Locked. I drive around in 4 Hi so TC2 doesn't help me.

So... if I end up getting retard on the launch, I'll just go into HP Tuner and take away all the low RPM retard from the TC table. It would be nice to have a button so it all still works as intended but I can still beat it if it becomes an issue.

Nice!

I did a tuning mod last night (post to come) that allowed me to get a few tires turning on my truck. I got about 5' worth out of each romp.

Doesn't sound like much, but I'm on a small cam that gets easily overlooked, and a stock converter. Yeah, and the AWD thing.
