Ok ive taken my truck to 2 different exhaust shops in town, and neither one would put up true duals. WTF is going on... the last shop said that if they cut the pipes in between the flange and the O2 sensor that they wouldnt be able to get the welder up in there to seal it properly. Did they shops that did your guy's give you any sh@#T? Did they have to drop the whole assembly down off the headers to weld it properly?

The shop I got mine done at was in Alabama, but they didn't give me any grief...

Nope .. they worked magic on mine. No grief .. just a bill.

i've had three different true dual systems on mine, 2 with stock pipes just cut off before the stock y and made into duals and the latest one is right off the back of the headers, full mandril bent tubes back into an X pipe and out into dual dynomax bullets with a 45* dump before the axle. no problems at all ever to make true duals with/ or without stock pipes.

 

the exaust shop i had mine done at just cut right before they joined. no problems at all. are you going to remove the cats? if not i see no reason to get rid of the existing pipe.
