Who did it and how did you go about it? What did you use? How did you clear it out?

The honeycomb is very brittle and light weight. All you need is a rod and a BFH! It just crumbles up and falls out. Oh and a beer or two might help.

I highly suggest you just replace the complete stock Y pipe. You'll have better flow, and it will save you lots of time and money when you need to get cats put back on in the future. Ask anyone who has had to get their truck back to stock. Not easy or cheap getting those parts.

I agree, I just cut mine out and replaced with pipe, just in case that I will have to replace them later....

cut it and replace it w/pipe is my vote, and thats what cammin03 did. When i had my z28, i had a new y-pipe made after the longtubes when mine were removed.
