Default Gutted Cats, E-Fans

Got bored yesterday and gutted out my cats. Pretty easy, because I knew all the bolts wold be free because I just had them all out like last year to put on the thorleys. I Love the way my truck sounds now. I could just crank it up, sit next to it in a lawn chair and get high on the fumes while enjoying the sound. Had to crank it up with open headers. WOW! Had not heard anything like that since Talladega in 2003. Half tempted to leave 'em that way but my neighbors, like me, have lots of guns and big ones, too.

Why no SES light? even with no sims or tuning, got about 50 miles on it too.

Help me decide on what to do with my LS1 fans? I can have the tune work done on the predator custom tune for 125$(so much for freebies) plus the harness about 80$, or buy a controller, looking at dcc or vsc, but on the dcc website their controller never shuts off the fans, they run at all times just slower or faster, seems like the fans would wear out quick.

I would definately run them off the PCM. You can also hook up a manuel switch so that you can turn them on whenever you want for additional cooling.

You can get a custom tune via internet to use through your predator to do things a predator won't do on it's own, like control e-fans. Used to be free but now it costs$$$.

Oh, Ok. Not sure when it happened but emailed them a week or two ago to see if they could do the fans on the predator and they told me unless I had a tune done in the last 30 days it would cost 125$. Quite a price increase, 0-125$. Must be the cost of gas.

well i think that is just a bunch of bullshit for them to do that. i mean what the hell do they think a damn tune cost to produce, certainly they cant really believe it cost them $125 per tune. it takes them like 5 mins to change up a tune and that aint worth $125 to me. i think they are about to loose a bunch of business amongst the people looking for handhelds instead of custom PCM's. i tell ya what i am gonna be looking into a Nelson tune or something soon

I wish I would have bought EDit instead. I could see 20 or 30 bucks but 125 Was your truck ever at MTI? Was over there in Feb., saw one that looked like yours, not sure though.
