I'm a 99 Tahoe with 80k miles and a Vortec 350. I make a loud ticking/knocking sound at startup and my coolant resivoir is bone dry. I just had my intake manifold gasket replaced last year... what is wrong with me?


Ok so here's the deal, I borrowed my parents tahoe up at school so I can head home for spring break. I parked in and later came back to it and found this fun situation. I'm either leaning towards intake manifold gasket again, or head gasket... not sure what else. I pulled the dipstick and the oil didn't look odd... just a dark brown like oil should.. any ideas.... I haven't driven it yet, but I have to move it because they are going to close the lot for snow removal in a couple days. Would it be safe to move... If coolant was getting into the cylinders... that would be boom since coolant isn't so compressible
