Default Guess Whats On Its Way!!!

Well I Ordered My Tci Sf3000 Stall And B&m 28000 Gvw Supercooler Today. I Will Be Installing These Next Week. But I Would Like To Know If Anyone Has A Write Up On The Tranny Removal For An 04 Rcsb Z71? Ive Never Done This Before, But I Will Have Some Help From My Uncle Who Is Pretty Mechanically Inclined, But Hes Never Messed With Anything This New Also. Any Help Is Needed And Appreciated.

make sure you read the instructions on shimming the verter if needed. that has a transfer case. it is going to be a little bit of a pita but you can do it. see if you can borrow a tranny jack

I have never heard of drilling the holes for the new converter but Joe @ JAG performance told me to always use a shorter converter bolt and never the stock ones when going with a stall. He said that the factory bolts will tear it up because they thread too far in.

well how long of a bolt should i get? also how long are the factory bolts? i was told that the ones that jegs sells are .725 inches long. so i went to advance auto parts and they had some exactly like those but .750 inches long or 3/4 of an inch. are these too long?

Not sure on the length of the ones Joe gave me. Its pretty short, I have a set if you need them. I would rather be out of a little change than see you mess up that converter.

Think that they had to enlarge one bolt hole on my flywheel so they could get the last one in. Best to pull off the flywheel and lay it over the converter pads on the bench and drill as needed. You will love the converter.
