Before I get guages, where would you connect them? On the fuel pressure I would imagine the crossover on the fuelrails, but what do you need to connect the bung on the crossover to the sending unit? What would I need when I get nitrous? I believe the bung or fitting, whatever is 1/8npt right? and most sending units are what... 4an? so i could get a female 1/8npt to 4an then a 4an T for both???
What about a tranny temp guage? Could I somehow use the factory wiring since it must be there because a Esky or 6l cluster shows it...?
What about air/fuel? does it need another bung welded into the exhaust? (just out of curiosity...)
I'm sure I'll want a fuel pressure and tranny temp, what else would be advised?

For the tranny ... I'd get a new cluster for that. Otherwise install a 24k GVW B&M cooler out in front of everything and count on it doing it's job.
The fuel pressure gauge would hook up to what your talking about. It's a schrader valve though. Same thing in the valve stem of the tire. I don't know what the size is, but I know for about 12 bucks in connectors you can get a nice gaudy looking adapter going on. I think that's the only way to do it though.
The air/fuel meter would be useless unless you go with a wideband setup, which is a horse of a different color all together.
If you plan on running nitrous, I'd go for a fuel pressure and bottle pressure. I'm not a nitrous guy so you might get some more opinions before you place an order.

tranny temp? get a different cluster and be done with it. it will look better anyway.
if you are determined to do an air/fuel, don't waste your time or money on anything but a wideband and then, yes, you will need to weld in a bung.

damn I sound like a moron when it comes to this crap...
thanks for the replies. I think I'll look into that cooler.

That's the one I got. The 28k cooler doesn't come with the mounting hardware and is the same price, so it's a better deal if you get the 24k cooler. Whatever it is .. get the biggest one that is feasable, you can't go wrong with a good tranny cooler.
