Is the Granetelli MAF a good choice if the stock MAF is maxed out?

I know that the Granatelli "makes power" by leaning out the fuel curves. My question is if it actually outflows the stocker and can be scaled to work for a combo that maxes the stock MAF out at 4800 rpms?
Would there be an honest gain for a truck making more power?

Alright... I know the GMAF screws most guys over, but thought it might work in this case. I'm not going to make any more boost than I am right now and I don't really want to go the SD only route. I don't have any fueling issues so I'll just leave it alone for now.
