Angry Got truck cranked, went on test drive, walked home

Well the tranny took a dump on me tonight . Got the motor cooling good, carb was tuned good, started to break the motor in by driving around the shop. Everything was going great. tranny shifted good and the motor was running great. It shifted well wether using manual shifts or letting it shift itself. We were low on fuel so went to the texaco about 6 miles away and everything was great on the highway. Filled the tank up with premium and headed back. About 1 mile into the trip the transmission just quit pulling. No shudder no noise just stopped pulling. never could get it to go into gear again; I am going to pull it tomorrow. It is a 700r4 and I had it built by a local guy who has a great reputation. I am still in motor break-in so I was not abusing it. The fluid is at the correct level and not burned looks just like it did when I put it in. Anyone got any Ideas???

And I got to walk 5.4 miles untill I could get a ride. On my nature walk I stepped on a damn snake to add insult to injury.

I'd say pump failure. Just a guess from the way you describe it.
