Default Got some NX questions

I was wondering if i should take out my hypertech, before running the nitrous. I heard if i dont i got mess up my engine, but i also heard that is was okay. If anyone has run into the problem please let me know what you did because me and a friend are going to install the NX kit on Friday and i just wanted to be sure I didn't have to go out and buy LS1 edit before running the nitrous.

don't take everything from the hypertech out, just the "POWER" tuning...that advances spark and whatnot and that's not good with nitrous use, i ran a 100 shot the first time i sprayed my motor with the HPP3 tuning installed and it wasn't pretty....made it through ok though, just wouldn't do it again. just leave all your shift points, higher rev limiter and all that **** the way it is, but take out the tuning and you'll be fine.

take the "POWER TUNING" part of the hypertech out of your computer, but leave all of your other settings the way they were, and you'll be fine. you just don't want to run the nitrous with the HPP3 tuning in place.

no, you want to have the shift points and rev limiter at whatever you have them at now...THE ONLY THING YOU WANT TO CHANGE, is the TUNING. when you get into the hypertech menus there is a menu that asks if you want to install powertuning, say no to that menu...all the other menus you can adjust, just don't use the TUNING.

blacknight02: Do you seriously not understand what he's saying? I hope you're kidding because I don't know how I would explain it to you any more plainer than how Slowverado did.
Use all of the Hypertech's settings EXCEPT the power tuning option, DO NOT use that. Um, did I mention NOT to use the power tuning?

So i can leave all my shifting points the way they are, beacuse they are all up alot and my rev limiter is at like 6500. So if i could leave that alone that would be kool.

Alright, I'll play along...
Yes, leave the shift points that you set with the HPP3 at what they are currently. Your HPP3 lets you set the rev limiter at 6500? Wow, I wish I had that one, mine only allows 6200 limit.
