Default Got some ideas for a new exhaust setup...

Currently I have just a welded in Flowmaster Super 44. Sounds good but I'm over it

I think I've made up my mind on what I'd like go to...OBX LT's, x-pipe, cutouts after the X, into a ???? muffler, exiting b4 the rear passenger tire.
All 3" pipe.

Here's my questions...which cutouts should I go with? I've been lookin at QTP from speed eng but I've heard some mixed results. What about DMH?

Also, fill in the ???? above. I'm leaning towards a 18" magnaflow. I'd like a mellow tone while driving and of course, a nice tone at WOT

I have a 22" magnaflow on the escalade and it sounds good but I'd like a bit louder.

Yeah I know...another exhaust question. But I have been doing some research and I'd like to get an outside opinion.

Will this setup be a good one? Or am I missing something? Also, I'm looking to stay under $1k for all of this. Seem possible?

here is my setup - Magnaflow's R&D Department had the truck for 8 days.

I have LT's with 3" pipe throughout - stainless, 2 high spun cats, cutouts, x pipe and dual outs.

Go with Spintech mufflers, you won't be disappointed. I've got dual Pro-Streets and wouldn't trade them for anything.

Cut-outs don't need to be after the x-pipe. You won't have any room for them there anyhow. Right after the header collector, as pictured by usabodyguard, is just fine.

Also, if you're doing duals all the way like that, I'd stick to 2.5" MAX. Do the math and you'll see that even 2.25" duals is slightly greater cross sectional area than a 3" single that most go with.

i would avoid OBX garbage too.. I recommend the LPPs instead. I want to do a similar setup and go with a pair of SLP LM2s or Borla Stinger mufflers, something of the sort.

USABODYGUARD... got any vids of that? Nicely done!

ive never heard a single good thing about OBX other than the price. Fitment sucks, cheap quality, chinese construction, and for the price, you could get a set of LPPs or pacesetters (better than OBX but i'm still not a fan). LPP's are 400-500 bucks depending on if you get the Y and if you get them on sale. They fit bitchin and they're good quality.

I had no problems what so ever with my OBX headers...I would buy them for my new truck or any other GM truck in a heartbeat...ask hirdlej what he thinks about his...
