Question got a question?

if edit controls the way the truck shifts. how come if your had your truck shifting with 3.42 gears it would not stay the same if you changed out the gears to 3.73's. i have reprogramed the cpu to recognise the new gears but now my shifts are way off.
if im cruising at 70 mph i can not get it to drop into 2nd it will only down shift into 3rd. same thing with the down shift into 1st. right now i have to be doing 30mph for it to down shift into first.
with the 3.42's i had it setup to down shift into first if i was doing less then 39 mph. and it would down shift into 2nd if i was doing less thean 80. also it will not down shift into 3rd if im over a hundred.
any help here guys?

You have to go into your shift speed tables and adjust the mph versus throttle position. Now that you have increased your gear ratio you are using more throttle for same mph, therefore you must adjust accordingly. Hope this helps.

1st thing I would do is get a read of the pcm and see what is programmed in the computer. Meaning that even though you have changed the gears with edit, the file may not have saved properly. Get a fresh current read and check the speedo table and see if it really is what you have programmed in. Also check your trans shift tab to see if it is what you want.
