Yuk, dry kit! My opinion and experiance of relying on the MAF to calculate fuel did not turn out so well. But glad you like it. I would not spray over 135 on a dry kit though.

Ive already emptied my bottle with a 150 dry shot, lots of fun too. I am relocating my MAF right in front of the TB so when it sprays through the tube it will have some time through the tube to expand and pass the whole MAF, not just the small portion it was spraying through. Hard to explain, but you know what I mean. If I can find a place to fill the bottle today I will go to the track tomorrow night and spray it with a 225hp dry shot. Im willing to bet the engine holds up OK but the tranny will probibly let go. O-well only one way to find out.
Anyone think I could hit a high 12 with the 225? Im hoping so.

The 5176 kit does not go through the MAF Sensor. You use the vacuum return line to add the extra fuel with a nitrous pressure regulator. This way, you don't have to rely on any electronics

225 dry shot = "The Hyde Experiment" only in the dry version. Say bye bye to the motor as you know it. With that much nitrous on a stock fuel system, your probably gonna run lean real quick and grenade a rod or piston. I'm not even sure if the stock MAF will correct that high with out a MAF translator. I see in your sig that you have a "reworked MAF", what exactly do you mean?

Good Luck and May the NOS be with you!!

i would like to see someone go with a BIG dry kit but if i were going to go much over a 100dry i would be watching and loging a few things. at least watch the 02 volts and fuel presure. if you have atap log the injector pulse width.

i dont see a fuel pump or injectors in your list of mods, there is no way that motor will live without at least those 2 mods and it may blow with them if you dont monitor the tune.

i say do it, just do it right.

Ummm....What injectors are you running with that big dry shot? If you're on stock injectors you'll be on a second motor VERY shortly.

You guys are right about it being too big of a shot for the stack injectors and fuel system. Right now I have the 150 shot on it and it pulls crazy hard(got rid of the KR problem Parish), and the A/F gauge says its running a little rich still. Im pretty confident the stock fuel system can support a 150 or maybe a 175 dry, but what do I need to do to run the 225 somewhat safely? Can I get a better fuel pump with @60psi and keep the stock injectors? I have been checking the plugs to see if it is leanning out, but no probs so far.

i didnt know 175 dry on stock fuel was possible...my 5.3 blew up on a few burst of 9lbs of boost with the stock fuel system...

didnt you have a fuel presure regulator problem?

i went 8psi on a 6.0 on a cold night runing WAY rich before i ran the stock fuel pump out. with the proper tuning i think the stock PUMP would go 175 but i wouldn't try it without a gauge just to be sure.

you will NEED bigger injectors and a pump. that is all there is to it. and if you want it to last any time at all you should do...

fuel presure gauge
good gas(like 100octane might be a good idea)
atap at least for KR, injector pulse width, 02's
wideband would really be the best way to tune
window switch(for when your tranny lets go)

i was able to get alot out of a stock 6.0 and i see alot of guys blowing up their motors with just a little boost or nitrous. it is all in the tune and tuning takes time and money, i still say if you want to go with a big shot you should get all that stuff above and do it right, you can just keep working your way up till the motor comes apart but when it does you will know you reached the limit of the motor and didn't blow it up due to a little detonation.
