GOT NOS!
My wife got me a NOS kit for our anniversury! I ran home right away and installed it and all I can say is HOLLY ****! It felt like Parish8 rear-ended me and was pushing me down the track. Right now Im using a 63 jet, but I have a 86 monster that is going on as soon as I get the bottle refilled. Used it all up the same night I put it on . The first race I got in was a Comaro and a 3000GT were ahead of me at a light. I heard them yelling back and forth about going on green and got a little exited. When the light turned green they took off and I was right behind the Z till I could get around the car in the other lane and I hit the button. MAN that was the most awsome feeling flying past both of them like they were sitting still.
Any NOS guys know how much HP the 63 jet is or how much the 86 will be? Possible to hit a 12.99?

Re: GOT NOS!
So if a 71 NOS jet is 175, how much is the 86 NOS jet? Red2k, What kind of times were you running with the 175? If I can hit a 12 anything 1/4 it will be like a wet dream come true.

Re: GOT NOS!
Assuming you run 52-55 psi of WOT fuel pressure and 1100 psi of bottle pressure this is how NOS equates each power:
NOS 100 HP = N: .047 F: .026
NOS 125 HP = N: .055 F: .031
NOS 150 HP = N: .063 F: .035
I would honestly run 58-60 psi of fuel pressure with these settings if you wanted to create a buffer on the rich side and "tune" the pressure down to an acceptable level.

Re: GOT NOS!
Cant go wrong with NOS on your truck!
Easy to **** people off when you beat their sportscar with an extended cab truck! Hahahaha
Haven't had any problems in mine yet, except it seems the tranny is shifting softer & softer the more I use it.
FIlling the bottle sucks though. $60.00 a fill for my 15 pound bottle, (although they usually put 16 pounds in it).
Don't have too much fun.

Re: GOT NOS!
Are you the NOS dry kit?? 5177? if so the 63 jets are "blow up your motor" big if you are runing the duel foggers. If runing a singel fogger you are OK.
P.S. if you are running NOS 5176 let me know how it works out, I may convert.

Re: GOT NOS!
I am running the 5176 kit. Although it was originally intended for the LT1, it bolts right up and seems as if it were made just for our trucks. Just make sure you have a vacuum return fuel line.
When I was speaking with the NOS Tech, he actually told me not to go with the 5177 if it had the vacuum return line. He said the 5176 was safer, plus, that kit came with an inline fuel pump to beef up the fuel system (which was the only part that required modification--bracket & adapters).
