Congrats on the new times. I bet we could still pull .2-.3 more out of it.

I understand. Our painter told me he picked up 3/10's I just sain O.K. I didnt think any more than 1/10 if that, My eyes were as big as saucers when I ran a 15.5. Thats 3 days later with hott, nore humid air. And the only change was the e-fans. So take it how you want. Maybe it was in the air, or track conditions, but it was at the same track, I made several runs in both lanes and compared slips.
15.8x to 15.5x. My 60' dropped about 1/100th, and my speed stayed about the same. I'll post actual slip info later for ya.

Wether he gained the HP or not from the fans he is definately capable of the times.

You are 2mph and 3/10ths faster than my stock 4.8L so you're doing good. You need to get it on video so we have proof when people call BS that a stock 5.3L can run low low 15s

I'll have to get some one to do that. I was hoping to have the cam in or the muff on before I went back to the track, but I may have to go just for proof. I understand calling bs on the gain, but I think there are a few almost stock 5.3's running 15. Look at blacksilverados times. Those are impressive. IMO for his mods. If I had those times I could slow down on my spending and go at it at a lesierly pace. (Check spelling.) Im thinking with my exhaust ,cam, and a good tune I might can get into the 14's

So does my 05 truck already have strictly electric fans? No clutch fans?

From what I herd, A similar truck to mine should be getting in the lower 15's.
Now mind you there was a LOT of crap in the bed, floor jack, Clutch fan, old radiator, cleaning and detailing stuff, some small tools, not to mention the bed rug and soft tonneau cover.
I can easily get into the 14.8 range with all that crap out and maybe into the 14.7 area with no spare tire and a rollpan

That's a really good time for just fans and Superchips. Can Superchips control the fans or are you using some other someother means to turn them on and off?
