Default Got my X-Pipe installed today!

It's a magnaflow x-pipe from www.exhaustproslinc.com, it really helped out my low end! It feels like my lower rpms rev a little bit faster or something. I can really feel the difference. It's one of the best mods for $50 IMO. The only thing that really I didn't like was that it made my flowmasters a lot quieter, especially at idle, I can barely hear them. But when barely give any gas at around 1500-2100 its alot louder than before.

You'll have some in here saying it made no differnce, you can only feel it because your wallet is $50 lighter.

I haven't had a crossover or anything. I've had true duals on the truck for about 2 years.

The other people saying it didn't make a difference are the people with magnaflows not flowmasters. Two very different mufflers that have different characteristics.

X-pipes are dyno PROVEN to show gains at certain RPM's.

Hey if I was to buy one of these http://www.exhaustproslinc.com/magmanbenypi.html and then get the factory exhaust cut right behind the connection where it goes from dual to single, then get this part welded in, wouldn't it work just like an xpipe?

I thought about doing the same thing! Leave the factory 'Y', get an after market 'Y' like the one you showed. Have the after market 'Y' flanged and connnect it to the factory 'Y'. That makes an 'X' and the factory 'Y' would still be there if you didn't like duals and wanted to go back to a single head pipe.

Cool I think I will try it. I want to get the muffler removed anyway so I could just put true duals with Y pipe while I am at it. The muffler shop has crappy homemade Ys but I think the Magnaflow mandrel bent Y would work much better. Now if I could just get my stupid beater car fixed, I would have some money to spend on the truck.
