Default got my new #'s and a new problem

just made it out to the strip last week and managed to run 14.7817.it was a cool night and I could burn my BFG295/50-16 rad t/a's clear through 1&2.they are about worn out and I'm looking into getting some slicks or maybe drag rad's.any input would be greatly appreciated as far as what type to use .
it seems like I have a sweet spot between 1k and 700RPM. if I launch above or below this window i just start a two tire fire. I can't figure out why but sure would like to know, because i got some LT's and a mean cam comming soon.
does anyone know if a set of s-10 shocks will fit in the back of a dropped silverado, I was thinking they might be softer and would give me a better bite.
