Just wanted to update my build. I received my Thunder Racing TR224/224.563/.563 112 LSA cam and Comp 918 springs today. I ordered them from Thunder Racing Monday night about 11:00 and they showed up on my doorstep this afternoon! Super fast shipping and great service from Thunder. Now the cam and springs are taking another trip to Texas for a little implant. I'm coming after you soon, TnTrk53!! Can't wait for the Thunder Shootout this year. It's gonna be great to see some guys again as well as make some new friends.

 

Awesome... are you getting a custom tune? Who is is installing it for you?

 

yea i think he is gonna get a custom tune from allen. he has a nice little project that i believe BigTex is helping him with. it should make for some nice 1320 timeslips...

 

Yeah, BigTex is hooking me up. I'll definately be getting a Nelson tune. I've heard too many good things from him not to do it. I've got a nice little project going. It's about time I stepped it up a little bit. My little 15.4 4.8L just ain't doing the job. My mid August, I should have a little something to be proud of.

Is that cam goin' in Slowprocess's 4.8 motor, or does he have something else planned. Just curious, i wanna wake up my 4.8 too.

 

Sorry, guys, this bad boy is going in the 6.0L BigTex is getting ready for me. I had seriously thought about staying with the 4.8L, but with 119,000 miles, it's time to upgrade to the big boy.

 

I'm sure I'd do the same if the money were there. I can't wait to hear that beast. Maybe i'll get to hear it and the Shootout if i'm able to make it this year.
