Default got a cam question?

i have a stock 01 trans-am cam and a 02 z06 cam which one would you put in for max performance? i plan on getting a stall sometime in the future and definately a tune.. what do you guys recomend?
and these are the cams i have, so please dont be like all the guys in the shorty headers thread and tell me that they are junk

You need to add the truck to your signature.

Between those cams for max performance, I'd go LS6 cam hands down especially if you plan on a stall. The Fbod cam wouldn't offer much over the stock truck cam.

would drivability be an issue with the ls6 cam? how much power could i expect to gain?

No driveability problems. And gain quite a bit in the higher RPM's from what ive seen. Its got a pretty high LSA.

thats what i want to hear.. how much would i lose down low? and would this cam work pretty well with a blower or turbo in the future

Not alot of loss down low. Seems its a pretty good blower cam. So I dont think you have any worries there.

You'd need LS6 springs. I say you would lose some grunt in the 1000-2500 rpm range. After 3000, it will really start to take off. Should make for a really nice long torque curve that will pull 6500 rpms without blinking. Gains - probably 35+ rwhp peak gains, with over 75 rwhp difference in at 6000 rpms. Torque peak will be moved up the band some. If you have even a mild stall, like the trailblazer converter, that LS6 cam will be real nice.
