Default Good new, running rich now

Not a very big deal if you don't have a blower, but I was lean, and messed with the PE vs RPM, got it in the high 900's on 02's.
I nailed it tonight, from 60, into 2nd, and got a little surging (FMU was back on the truck, coming off tomorrow), but when I nailed it in 1st, and the FMU didn't kick on(crappy FMU's ) I saw black smoke out the exhaust, out the right rear. I will lean it out a bit top end now. I have to get an in vehicle wideband like Parish's to get my wideband read, cause the dyno place won't do my truck.
