Hey guys,

I'm not convinced the stock airbox flows that poorly, but I know the tube is a piece of ****. I want something durable that isn't a UPD.

 

i think the black upd is the best way to go, dont think ull regret it. u dont want some cheap looking piece of **** in there.

i just wish upd would get thier act together with fuking service

 

I think it would be easy to make a tube using parts from a hardware store especially if you have electric fans for more clearence.
Before the turbo My old setup was a clear UPD and a hole cut in the bottom of the stock air box with a 4" air duct with an air scoop,ran to the front valance. Worked great. I will be selling my UPD,K&N filter, air duct and velocity stack soon.

Yes, rubber couplings and PVC pipe make a great intake. Their are some members who have done this and it looks truly remarkable. I was doing it, but I have mechanical fans and there's not enough clearance between the fan shround and throttle body to fit an elbow.

I had a PVC intake on my '94 chevy. It looked like ****, but it worked well. don't want something looking like butt crack on my VHO

 

Search around, their's some PVC intakes (pic) by our members that have been painted and look beautiful.

 

Airaid make just the tube. Just do a search for them.
