Default Good compression at high mileage

After installing a cam and rocker arms, I performed a quick compression test to make sure my valve adjust was good-to-go. I was happily surprised to see 180 psi compression across the board!! And there's 120,000 miles on the ticker. lol, gotta love these ls series engines.

Agree! My 01 5.3 had similar results at 220K miles with Mobil1 oil changes at 6000 miles and lots of beating with my right foot!

Anything over 120psi is good your rings are obviously still in excellent shape.

So if your oil pressure is still good the we can say the bearings are fine too.
