Default Going for another dyno tune.

Well, I'm going for another dyno tune on monday. The last one was not worth the money. Here's what I hope to accomplish: i want to eliminate KR, fix my tcc lock/unlock issues, and figure out how to get my timing and af ration in check while using alcohol and preventing detonation. hmmm, tricky.

I'm going to Performance Dyno in Concord, NH. I have HPtuner. NO, Don didn't get rid of the KR. Not even close. I still see up to 7deg. didn't even attempt to tune it with the alcohol, so, if i turn it on, i have no idea how my af ratio is, but, if i turn it off, i get crazy kr. go figure

Thats funny. Because this is what you said when you got back from Dons in October:

Dez tune info, new hp numbers

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I got my truck tuned yesterday by Don at Dez. Cool guy. He did the first pull with the tune I had in there. Got 371HP. Interesting, I only got 322 at a different shop 2 weeks ago. I like his number better. Anyway, I was seeing as much as 8deg KR. He got it dialled in so I'm barely needing the alcohol and still getting no KR. Final HP number in 2nd gear was 372. He tried to run it in 3rd but said my tires were bouncing and vibrating so much it messed up the machine. Does that make sense? He seems to think I'm closer to 400."
Must be one of those 1 month tunes.......

I know, that was before I hooked up the Predator and/or the HPtuner to see the KR for myself. I was taking his word for it that the KR was gone. It isn't. The big question is, what is the point of having an alcohol kit if i'm not going to use it? Meaning, shouldn't we have tried to up the timing for better power, and up the alcohol to decrease temps? instead, we ended up almost shutting the alcohol off because it was messing with the a/f ratio. I'm lost.

Where should we start with this next tune? I know the a/f ratio needs to be in check, but, i also know that i should be using the alcohol to keep temps down and to help with KR. But when we use the alcohol, it f's up the a/f ratio. Is this a catch 22?
