I'm having the same problem, have cleaned the tb, maf, air filter, checked plug wires and it still does it. My tuner thinks it's a pcm on it's way out (mail-order tune) so I'm getting a replacement under warranty and will see what happens.

I think contact cleaner is usually used on the MAF, but brake cleaner is probably just about the same stuff.

Is your tuner local, or do you have access to HP Tuners or EFI Live to scan it?

Is it sputtering then dying, or just cutting out like you turned the key off?

mine does it to, its an 03 4.8 farely stock, with about 86k, i was told to clean out the tb and i did, seemed not to do it for awhile but now it still does it, it bounces real bad when just idling and drops to what seems like 3 rpms back to like 1200, then sometimes it dies, but im plannin on pullin the 4.8 out and puttin somethin bigger and better in, just want more time out of this one
