(factory/stock)...what program does GM use to tune with?

 

Im sure its there own software.

Ive heard something like tech 2
but cant seem to find much info on it

Tech 2 sounds really familer.

 

The Tech 2 is the GM scan tool, used to read codes, view inputs/outputs, control different modules and such.
If you're asking about software, I'm not sure. When we update vehicles, we pull the programming from the truck's computer with the Tech 2, then plug it into the desktop computer at the shop, and download the new calibrations onto the Tech 2, and eventually into the truck. The software we use to download the new calibrations is called TIS 2000.
