Default Gibson Headers - Yea or Nea?

Good for a tight budget? Or just pieces of crap?

Mine look like a pile of rust. If it were me, I would save for long-tubes or get something else that will show an improvement.

nay....you really aren't saving a lot of money for the amount that you're spending. I'd say save a few more duckets ang get either mids or long tubes.

(all this from a guy with manifolds! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> )

Gibsons suck! I made the mistake of buying shorties (the first time) Save your money! You won't regret it.

NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
If you just have to get shorties, the only good reports I have heard are JBA's. But at the price they are, you could spend just a little more and get mids.

I bought the Gibson Stainless Headers only because I got them directly from the Gibson factory for $250. I noticed more of a difference in performance when I installed the ASP Pulley set than I did when I installed the shorty header. They are a lot lighter than stock and I'm sure they flow better, but I've already done ALL the bolt on stuff so the next step is a cam, ported heads or a Powerdyne Supercharger. More air in means more horses on the ground.
