I wonder if anybody has identified a preload measurement that if gone over you run an increased risk of collapsing lifters?

Is there any harm in having a noisy valvetrain?

Can a noisy valvetrain trigger the knock sensors and give "false knock retard"?
I know the sensors are tuned to 6400khz but can that frequency be generated by other things besides ignition problems?

I have heard yes and no on the knock sensors, Noisey valvetrain is very common in these motors.
I have heard of up to 120 thousands and no problems.
