Unhappy Getting ready for a Cali smog

I have a 99 with the 5.3. Not a whole lot going on but heres what ive got. ls6 cam with springs, hypertec III, AEM bruteforce intake, and a 2 chamber flow. Im a little worried about the cam. Do i need to get the computer re-programed for the cam. I live in arizona and im not too far from ASM. Dont they do some programing? Even if i dont need it for smog, would i get boost from having them program it for me, or would it work aginst the smog thing. I could really use some help here. I dont want to drive to cali and not pass.

I wouldn't worry about that cam not passing emissions. Not at all. You would pick up some power with a program. However, I would buy a Yank 3000 stall instead of a program. You will like it alot better.

I just passed my AZ smog test! I clearly had removed a 'necessary' part. shhhh It was kind of nerve racking for a while when 5 techs came over to check out my "kick *** spool" in my engine bay I thought for sure one of them was going to notice while checking out my work. They were cool guys.

Edit is one powerful program. I take stuff off, the SES goes on, I turn off the code -it no longer exists, and it cannot be traced on the emmissions computer.

**if you work at an AZ DMV disregard this post as it is clearly not accurate and shows no sign of truth.

Im going to get the smog done in the morining. I do live in Phoenix, but my truck is still registered in california. Im also going to be painting my truck while i am here.
Onyx- i havent been to the pavilions in a while, but once i get my rig with some shiny stuff on it, im sure i will make a few trips out there. We should meet up some time. And that goes for any AZ truckers.
Ill let you guys know how the smog goes.
