I would use a known good one instead of one that has spun a bearing. It may not polish up or it may have issue being to size.

I'm in the process of putting my ly6 genIV 6.0 together. I'll ask my machine shop about the cam bearings and sizes when I get back home, because they installed new ones for me. The other work I had done was a line hone or bore for the mains, due to runnin ARP main studs. Also had it bored .030 over to a 370ci, ARP head studs, and new cam bearings. I'm gonna start assembling it as soon as I get home.

X2 if he is not familiar with the LS engine or does not work on them often enough, any stock LS cam should work. I wouldn't pay more than $25 for a used one though...

This build will suit your turbo perfectly.
What did you do yours? Head work, cam, valve train info?
Thanks

I believe he will but, I will double check when I call him.
I will also check as I would expect him to have a good one lying around.
Nice, thanks Jordan I appreciate it.

I went with some bone stock 823 heads and I have two sets of springs, just haven't decided which set I'm gonna use yet? Either Prc 675's or some pac 1219's. I'm gonna have one of the members on here help me with the cam, Vortech350ss, cloyes double timing set, Molnar forged rods with ARP 2000 hardware, Wiesco -9cc dished forged 2618 Pistons, stock ly6 intake and 90mm throttle body, stock ls3 58x crank, ARP mains and head studs, got some factory Gm exhaust manifold studs, and all remflex gaskets (really nice gaskets), Kelli g oil pump, stock oil pan and timing covers, ls3 valley cover, and on my way back to El Paso on the 16th I'm picking up a 88mm comp billet turbo in Dallas... Hopefully it works out good on this new motor! Also throwing in a 2009 4l80e I've had for a bit, with a new FTI single disc billet 3000 converter, and the 40k cooler. I've been collecting parts for about three months now! Got a bunch of work to do when I get back home! Also I decided to go with some soft 8's, 17x8 in the front with 5 and 1/2" back spacing, and 17x9 in the rear with 3 and 1/2 back spacing.
I'll be replacing all my hardware with ARP as well.
Well, I should say after I get clearance on the cam bearing issue.
I called him today but he decided to take a vacation day. I'll be talking with him tomorrow morning.
