You should choose your gear IMO on what your limit for highway RPMS is at a certain speed. For example, for me I wanted no higher than 2000rpm @ 70. With my 31.5" tires, a 3.90 gear would be perfect for this.

What are most of you guys paying for gears and install? I want to put either 3.73s or 4.10 in my truck but don't have the ability to install them myself. Not trying to highjack the thread just wondering.

well it's gonna cost me $200 for the labor/ install plus your ring and pinion, for new parts is like must under $200 , so just about $400 bucks , unless you can get your parts cheap !

Yes but one tooth is a big difference

41/10 compared to 41/11. That's a 10% difference.
