Yeah they are what a $50 option when ordering new? But all the 'stealers' around here only get them with 3.73:1 gears! Hell if I ran that place all mine would come with a 4.10:1 and the 3.73:1 would be an option.

yup GU4, I do a fair share of towing so 410s would be pushing it I am looking for 373(1st choice) or 410s The 308s give me some good gas mileage but nothing and I mean nothing on the bottom end and that is where I need the extra rpms!! If you have 410s and do some towing let me know how there working to for ya on the highway!!

Thanks

D

the 4.10's would be better for towing.

4.10's with a 31.7" tall tire run about 2000rpm at 68 mph on the highway.

This should help u out in deciding .. the 4.10's would be better for towing since they are lower geared.

Are you sure that's the option code you see in the glove box and it's not something else your looking at? I'm not calling BS or anything, but I just can't see why in the hell they would do something like that. If that really is the case, check your sticker (from when the truck was new) and talk to the dealer about it. Maybe GM will replace it if they goofed.
