Gauge install progress/pics
#1
Well folks, I changed up the arrangement a bit. In the overhead console I switched from my initial, boost/fuel pressure choice, to a tach/fuel pressure set up. Reason being, we are always referencing X fuel pressure at a specific rpm and it seemed like a logical, quick way to gather that data.
I am not 100% sold on it yet, but I think it makes sense, let me know what you think
I'm open for suggestions as well.
The first pic below shows the initial wiring of 2 gauges and 2 switches, their labels and layout. The second pic shows what the gauges/switches look like mounted in the upper console, although upside-down
They have the green digital readout. The gauge closest to the driver is the rpm(tach), with the fuel pressure just to its right.
One of thing of note: I used 1.5" ID O-rings and stretched them around the the gauge body and the mounting bezel, this lets the gauge ride on the rubber instead of the billet anodized aluminum housing and insulates it from rattles and such. enjoy!

The gauge pod is very well machined, executed, with an anodized finish and snaps in perfectly, no fabbing or fudging needed.
I don't know if I'd buy two though

Couple questions - Where is the boost gauge going if you stick to this plan? How many gauges total will you have?

5 gauges total, boost will go in the keyed air bag pod. Note: as luck would have it the pocket you have to remove from the overhead console has a flat black plastic piece of matching texture that you can cut out and use over this pod

Wideband and Pyrometer will be mounted in the vertically narrow pod to the left of the gauge cluster with an aluminum faceplate I will make myself.
