Default Gas-O-meter no work ?!?!?!?!!??!

I've sorta delt with the problem for a while. Been like it since we bought it from this guy in D-berry. For a while it was fill'er up and kinda keep track of the miles. But it's getting old and well I get enough of math in school as it is. I checked out the Hanes manual I bought(Yes,yes I know there is nothing useful in it) a while ago and it doesn't give me anything that helps me with this problem. All it says is when installing and removing a fuelpump be careful not to damage the sending Unit. This would be what makes my gasguage work. So I figure when the previous owner replaced the pump like he said he did. He most have either cut a wire that wasn't surpose to be cut or forgot to put something back together. I don't know anymore really, when you start the truck nothing happens so far as the guage goes so it always reads full. and never goes down. Probably a simple fix, anyone have any idea what it could be ?

If the sending unit wires are not connected or if one of them is grounding out, it will read a constant full except when you turn the key to off. A grounded out situation is typical if ant metal part of the wires ar touching the sending unit's metal.

You will probably have to drop the tank to find out. Good Luck, I know it is not fun

What if it jumps all over the place periodically?
When it first happened I thought it was rocking with me to Nirvana while I was waiting to meet up with someone

No no it doesn't jump all over the place. Doesn't move at all just reads well FULL even when the truck is off it just reads full.
