Default Gas Milage???

What would make a truck lose almost 6mpg. The truck is an '05 ecsb Sierra. no mods at all. If anyone has any ideas on what this is and a possible solution Please help!?!?!?!

I would check your intake connections, make sure they are all tight. How many miles, BTW I don't think there is a fuel filter on an 05.

the truck only has 37,100 miles on it. And no, the 05 s have an internal fuel filter and GMsays it is suppose to be a lifetime filter.

Thats what I thought, mine is an 04 and has the same "lifetime" filter. Maybe try cleaning your MAF with some electronics cleaner, and what type of air filter are you running?

Its my dads truck and I think he is running a knock off of a K&N filter with a stock intake tube.

Did he just put the airfilter in? or did he just reoil it? If so he might have over oiled it, if not I have no clue...
