Default FYI: Lq9 and 4Lo in a 1/2 ton T-case are NOT a match made in heaven

I've had it for 2 weeks. Had to try 4 Lo. 3/4 throttle dip of the throttle = tires spinning, truck jumping and something breaking. I tapped the throttle.

I figured the cold mud terrains would spin on the cold road before anything snapped. Nope. Rice Crispies!

2wd sounds fine. 4x4 (manual t-case btw) sounds weird. Im thinking i popped a tooth of the ring and pinion.

Damn, glad to hear about that before I tried with a cammes/stalled LQ4 in my RC. Maybe it will be safe in the RCSB

don't even try it, once this transmission goes up I don't plan on being under your truck again for a little while...

I'm really hoping it wasn't something serious... I'm not looking forward to this.

Don't think he'd have one after the lq9/4L65e swap. Hope you get it fixed man, maybe it isn't too bad.

Unless he tells someone at the service department, no one would ever know. Physically both the engine and trans are externally identical to the stock motor and trans. No one would ever see the 6.0 casting on the block and there are no marks identifying the transmission.
