Fuel trims/KR
#1
I looked at my ltft/stft/timing advance today. I've had some timing issues in the past, and it has gotten better, but I think. There is a lot still there. I only looked at Timing advance, not actual KR. My timing jumped around a lot, being as high as 36 deg and as low as 0. Oh, and I noticed the Tq Mgt retard, but that's not what I'm referring to. Under 30-50% throttle, my timing would drop 10+ degrees just whenever it felt like it. I'm thinking that is some serious KR.
Then, I looked at my fuel trims. Both the stft/ltft would move from +7 to -4, and everywhere in between. I know you want those around 0, but is this completely unusual.
Is any of this due to my 99 pcm versus the later years. False knock? Whipple programming? Should I dyno tune w/Cmotorsports, or just get Edit? I almost want to pull the Whipple and sell the truck and start over, b/c there has been a string of Whipple related issues since installation.
I know, complicated questions. Any help is appreciated.

It sounds like you a bad knock-sensor.....timing shouldn't jump around like that. Yuo might also have an intake leak somewhere because strims and ltrims should NOT fluctuate like that EVER
if you are still using the whipple FMU that might be alot of the problem and might probably cause the issues you are seeing...
BTW...Cmotorsports doesn't Dyno tune....they do real-world street-tuning
AND....if you really want to sell that Whipple....PM me

Edit can program out the knock sensors, correct? So I don't have to change the knock sensor.
I ran for codes, and I got nothing, so is my only option just to guess on the fuel trim issue, b/c I couldn't find anything, but I did hear a ticking/hissing under load/throttle.
Yelo, I'll keep you in mind if I yank off the system.
